There was a quo­rum of mem­bers of the of the Tiger e‑Kiwanis Club for today’s impor­tant meet­ing as 40 mem­bers vot­ed. From a wel­come video to the Kiwa­nis stars finale video, we thank PIT Gary Levine for enliven­ing our meet­ing with his tech­no wizardry.

The lead sto­ry from our meet­ing was that the major­i­ty of mem­bers on the zoom call vot­ed in favor of chang­ing our Dis­trict affil­i­a­tion from Cal­Ne­va to the Illi­nois East­ern Iowa Dis­trict. From eas­ing fundrais­ing restric­tions to low­er­ing Dis­trict dues, the con­sen­sus was that the move would help to ame­lio­rate the sit­u­a­tion. Please mark your cal­en­dars on Octo­ber 8th for a club for­ma­tion meeting.

Pres­i­dent Barb was pleased to induct two new mem­bers to our Tiger Team. We wel­come the Imme­di­ate Past Gov­er­nor of the Dis­trict of Malaysia, Ivan Oh as well as Denise Gasti, Sec­re­tary of the Alame­da Kiwa­nis Club and golfer extra­or­di­naire. Hand­shakes all around!

Upcom­ing Birthdays!

Octo­ber is upon us as are EOT mem­ber birth­days. Gary Bak­er and Mar­i­an O’Hig­gins share Octo­ber 4th for their cel­e­bra­tions. Takahiko Oga­ta blows out the can­dles on Octo­ber 20th. Denise Gasti is not spooked out on her birth­day, Octo­ber 31st. Wish­ing each one a healthy and hap­py year ahead.
